Complete Image Optimizer — fast images in WordPress
A WordPress plugin for automatic WebP conversion, replacing existing images, compression and safe SVG support. No external services.
Why
Images are the most common reason for a slow site and a low PageSpeed score. Most optimiser plugins compress photos on their own servers for a monthly fee. Complete Image Optimizer does everything on your hosting.
Features
- automatic WebP conversion of new images on upload;
- bulk conversion and replacement of existing media library images — in background batches with memory control;
- compression with adjustable quality and a file size limit;
- SVG support with correct display in the media library;
- a check that the server supports WebP before running.
We use it on client sites as part of speed optimisation and support.
